In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.
- Prepare and develop the bill of quantities/Material Take-off, pay item descriptions, cost estimate in accordance with the Company and Client requirements.
- Ensure sound quality of cost estimates adhering to the company Cost Estimating review procedures at varying project phases. At a minimum, all developed cost estimates must be reviewed by the Lead Estimator or designee.
- Preparing documents for Tender/Bid documents/Request for Proposal (RFP), variation orders/change orders/design change notice (DCN’s), Quantity and Materials take-off (QTO/MTO) - Infrastructures and Buildings, Cost Estimates, Unit Rate Analysis, Man-hours and Materials Specifications.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures, such as residential developments, sports stadiums, roads and infrastructures, schools, hospitals, offices, and factories.
- Coordination with Engineering discipline head and design engineer for identification of scope of works, bill of quantities, material take-off and pay Item description.
- Prepares and consolidate material take-off (MTO) in all disciplines, Cost Estimate and Detailed Cost Estimate.
- Prepares the Design change notice (DCN) and addendums.
- Prepare and develop the Basis of Estimate as per the industry standard.
- Prepares the detailed bill of quantities, conceptual and preparing early stages budgets, detailed cost plans and contract documents.
- Monitor, review and finalize the development of MTO in accordance with the latest Construction Specification Institute (CSI) Master Format or Client standard(s) as per each stage final drawings.
- Review and incorporate historical data from purchase order, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hours figures.
- Prepare many discipline estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work.
- Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned.
- Cost Breakdown for all civil, structural, or architectural systems and budget preparations.
- Attend and participate in various Client/Royal Commission Value Engineering workshops.
- Coordinate with supplier to request quotation, delivery schedules and compliance.
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates figures and provide assistance to senior level estimator to incorporate into cost database.
- Interface with Owner and other stakeholder to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility.
- Follow awarded contracts as assigned - may include estimating extra works items, change orders, credits, procuring materials, etc.
- May review design options and recommend best solution based on constructability, cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
- Able to work well within a team-based environment.

**KEY RESULT AREAS**:

- Submit and deliver the cost estimate, BOQ/MTO, and Pay item description (PID) as per the project schedule.
- Minimal Client comments received on every stage submittal.
- Properly observed and implement the required skills and knowledge of cost estimating processes.
- Properly maintain the files of working documents as back-up for estimates figures and for future use.

MY PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical), Quantity Surveying

**Years of Experience/ Sector**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cost of estimating, quantification and costing, engineering, or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge of quantity survey on construction practices, international codes, standards, procedure, and specifications.

**Job-Specific Skills**:
Working knowledge of BIM Applications AutoCAD and estimating software.

Must have good computer and software skills, and the knowledge and ability to use these tools. These skills areas include the use of:

- General off-the-self software (non-estimating)
- Company proprietary software
- Estimating software (quantity takeoff, BIM, estimating, etc.)
