**Job Description** Job Purpose**:
The Urban Economist will be a Senior Principal who will be responsible for conducting comprehensive economic analyses, developing business cases, and assessing the feasibility of urban development projects. This role requires expertise in urban economics, financial modeling, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure the economic sustainability and success of urban projects. The Urban Economist will play a key role in influencing policy, investment decisions, and development strategies. The role is based in Riyadh and our scope will be establishing PMO services to help the client deliver strategic plans and procedures to cover their portfolio of works.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Strong understanding of urbanization and urban development and of the tools for urban and regional economic and spatial planning.
- Ability to conduct independent research on urban and regional economic topics, determine suitability, validity and accuracy of data provided by different sources.
- Experience collaborating as part of large multidisciplinary teams on planning projects in the capacity of an urban economist, with strong knowledge of the latest urban economics theories, concepts and practices.
- Expertise analyzing and interpreting data and identifying trends and patterns, with strong capability to use or lead teams to use advanced visualization tools and platforms for reporting and to provide insights and outcomes that can enable data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work across spatial maps and models and financial and economic models for the purposes of scenario building, interpretation and analysis.

**Qualifications** Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in economics urban economics / urban planning / development management / real estate Postgraduate degree preferrable
- 15 years of experience in urban economics, feasibility studies, or related areas.
- Expertise in economic modeling, business case development, and financial analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with ability to deliver workshops
- Proficiency in the latest relevant digital tools and platforms.
- Relevant professional certification(s) preferred.
