**About the team**
Careem is expanding its super app offering in KSA with the launch of Careem DineOut - a Food & Beverage (F&B) discovery engine that helps customers discover the finest restaurants in the city. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for setting up the business from the ground up and scaling it across KSA. You will report to the Head of DineOut.
**What you’ll do**
- Define a comprehensive go-to-market strategy based on your knowledge of the dining industry and customer/partner research.
- Build and manage teams across various commercial functions, including sales, account management, operations, growth, and marketing.
- Collaborate with supporting departments and teams outside your organization (including marketing, finance, legal, and central operations) to optimize strategy execution, daily operations, and processes.
- Develop, own, and drive the growth of the business in collaboration with the product teams.
- Recommend and pursue new growth opportunities by identifying gaps in our value proposition and users' needs; work with product and central business teams to deliver those opportunities.
**What you'll need**
- Have a passionate commitment to simplify and improving the lives of people
- Have a deep understanding of local trends and preferences
- Mission-driven sales person at heart who excels in building the right partnerships and best customer experiences
- Thrive in and navigate successfully through uncharted waters having previously partnered with a tech, consulting or a start-up company
- Have 7+ years of managerial experience, including building, coaching, and scaling teams to meet business needs.
- Comfortable managing a large P&L
- Excel in solving problems using clear, strategic and creative thinking, and want to put those skills to work
- Lead by thinking differently, seeking innovation, and always looking for ways to raise the bar
- Be an excellent communicator with any audience. Be comfortable managing teams across multiple cities (remotely).
