Local Unit & Position Description:
DNV Maritime is seeking a Junior Analyst for 1 year Temporary role with possible extension. You will be part of the Finance team that is responsible for controlling, invoicing, collections, and other financial activities for the Area Middle East & Africa. DNV is the world’s leading classification society and a recognized advisor for the maritime and global shipping industry. Area Middle East & Africa is responsible for all classification activities in the geographical area with offices in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Angola and South Africa.
The Junior Analyst will report to the Area Finance Manager and be a key contributor to finance operations in the Area. You will interact and learn from experienced colleagues not only from Finance, but also Operations, Business Development, QHSE etc., and from all over the world.

**Support tasks include, but are not limited to**:

- Monthly closing and reporting, forecasting and target setting.
- Analyses including regular review of financial performance.
- Audit and business review processes.
- Implementation and effective use of tools and processes.
- Optimize financial data analytics and reports.
- Collection support, follow up on outstanding amounts owed by Customers.
- Other improvement initiatives, ad-hoc analysis and projects.

Position Qualifications:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar
- Fluent in English, written and spoken. Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills and data savvy

**Personal characteristics we are looking for**:

- Analytical and structured with high attention to details and have a passion for numbers
- Quickly understand and analyses complex issues and problems
- Positive, independent and a team player
- Take responsibility for own career development, curious and eager to learn
- Travelling is expected, mainly to DNV Dubai office
