Ac Technician

,**Key Activities & Responsibilities**:

- Performs AC system inspections and manufacturer recommended preventative maintenance.
- Installs and repairs direct expansion air conditioning equipment to include window units, split-type units, and packaged units.
- Carries out mechanical/electrical repairs to reciprocating chilled water units; air handling units, associated equipment, and controls.
- Disassembles inspects, and rebuilds reciprocating-type compressors.
- Troubleshoots both mechanical and electrical faults on the equipment mentioned above.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Vocational training in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Ventilation.

**Prerequisite Experience /Competence**:

- 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Electrical knowledge of AC control systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in the English language.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the AC trade.
