As the Engineering Storekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of storekeeping functions within the engineering department. This role requires an organized and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage inventory and maintain accurate records. Additionally, you will work closely with the engineering team to fulfill their material requirements and assist in optimizing storekeeping processes to improve efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining area material issuance log books
- Ensure the use of site asset and inventory management systems to record all material issuance & receiving and maintain an up-to date inventory at all times
- Operate systems as per established procedures designed to ensure all documentation are kept up to date and are meeting the current standards.
- Work closely with other team members as and when required.
- Ensure that all spares are received and updated in the inventory, stored in designated location prior to issuance.
- Attend and positively respond to training courses to improve work skills.
- Strictly adhere to company’s Environmental, health & safety instructions as per site policy and procedures to avoid accidents
- Ensure full familiarity and implementation of all applicable Corporate Governance Policies.
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
- Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
- Respond to order inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipment
- Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions
- Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
- Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed
- Monitoring stock level of spares in site asset and inventory management system and physically for parts locally and overseas and raise PR to ensure non stock items.
- Receiving invoices with material using site purchasing platform for payment and issuing GRN for supplier payment.
- Tracking all spares physical quantity, re order level and send report for end users on items below minimum stock.
- Generating monthly report for showing receipt, issuance and stock level balance
- Ensure the supplier submits certificate of analysis or conformity for required parts, product contact spare parts and food grade lubricants.
