**Job Summary**:
The Storekeeper is responsible for maintaining inventory, managing the stock of materials, supplies, and products, and ensuring smooth store operations. The role involves the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods, while keeping track of stock levels and ensuring that materials are readily available for production or sale. The Storekeeper will be expected to work closely with various departments to ensure efficient stock management and contribute to the overall productivity of the company.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Inventory Management**:
- Receive and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Ensure proper storage of items, organizing inventory by categories for easy access.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate orders for replenishment when necessary.
- Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy of records and prevent discrepancies.
- **Issuing Goods**:
- Process requests for materials and supplies from different departments.
- Issue goods in accordance with established procedures, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a record of issued items and ensure timely delivery to relevant departments.
- **Record Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, either manually or using inventory management software.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
- Keep track of stock movements, including damaged goods or returns.
- **Stock Maintenance**:
- Ensure the safe handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Regularly inspect goods for quality control, and report any issues to management.
- Organize the storage area to maximize space, facilitate easy access, and comply with safety regulations.
- **Coordination & Communication**:
- Collaborate with suppliers, logistics teams, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
- Communicate with the procurement department regarding stock levels and order needs.
- **Safety & Compliance**:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring the storage area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures, company policies, and industry standards.
- **Other Responsibilities**:
- Assist in training and supervising junior staff, if applicable.
- Assist with annual stocktaking and inventory audits.
- Perform any other duties related to inventory management as assigned by the supervisor.
Pay: ﷼1,800.00 - ﷼2,200.00 per month
