**Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- This job is in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Maintains the equipment that provides electricity, hydraulic pressure, and air pressure to fixed-wing aircraft.
- Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs the equipment that provides electricity, hydraulic pressure, and air pressure to fixed-wing aircraft.
- Uses technical data to diagnose and solve support equipment maintenance problems.
- Provides on-the-job training to host nation military members as directed to increase their support equipment maintenance proficiency.
- Maintains forms and records in accordance with local policies and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations to include Saudi labor laws, OSHA standards, and environmental EPA standards.
**Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies**:
- Must have High School Diploma plus 10 years of extensive experience in the civilian or military aviation avionics maintenance environment.
- Must have completed a Basic Aerospace Maintenance Course with a focus on Avionics.
- US Air Force experience preferred (AFSC 2A573).
- Gulfstream maintenance experience preferred.
- Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.
**The following skills and abilities are required**:
- Understand and use the English language, both oral and written, to communicate information or ideas to another person or persons.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Synthesize and retain information and make decisions according to standard policies and procedures.
- Obtain Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance as needed.
- Must have in-depth technical, and functional knowledge of aircraft avionics and understand the requirements of organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance.
- Requires the ability to positively communicate with Saudi military personnel and civilian contractors.
- Must be able to communicate complex matters clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be available for travel as required.
**Physical Requirements**
The employee will work in an airfield hangar facility as well as on the flight line conducting maintenance. The employee must be able to climb a ladder and maneuver on an aircraft to conduct maintenance. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in the course of maintenance activities. Work may be required in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and blowing sand conditions. While performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment including eye protection, ear protection, and other required equipment anytime the potential for hazards exists. The noise level in the work environment is usually mínimal to moderate. The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
