The project:
This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is currently providing programme management and looking for high-calibre experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

- Act as the day to day operational manager for any design managers or other design management resource deployed to projects.
- You will be responsible for leading the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes and sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development.
- You will be the main point of contact for client design issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained.

You’ll need to have:

- Expertise in the formulation of design workflows, design scheduling and design deliverables.
- Expertise in delivering different typologies and complexities.
- Proactively manage internal budgets and fees, delivering agreed outcomes.
- Excellent knowledge of the construction and consultancy industries.
- Good knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, presentation and writing skills.
- Maintains impartiality and takes pragmatic approach evaluating evidence.
- Ability to delegate, lead others, take initiative and make appropriate decisions.
- Strong technical knowledge to challenge projects/design/proposals.
- Leads others effectively.
- Ability to influence and persuade senior management towards a desired course of action.
- Continuous improvement and resilience through training and business improvement activities.
- Mentors and develops individuals, sharing knowledge and experience.
- Champions and operates within an inclusivity environment.
- Membership professional body (RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT).
- Post graduate qualifications (MA, MSc, PGD etc.) or equivalent.

You’ll also have:

- Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the construction sector.
- Deep construction and consultancy expertise.
- Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health and safety legislation.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) record of continual learning/development.
- Demonstrable building safety
