As a Underbalanced Coiled Tubing Drilling-Superintendent, you will assist the client’s Drilling Foreman with forward planning and current well technical issues, as required, including Daily Safety message/instructions regarding delivery of the well objectives.
As a Underbalanced Coiled Tubing Drilling-Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and direct all aspects of daily site operations in conjunction with the client’s Drilling Foreman, Hold daily pre-tour meetings in conjunction with the client’s Drilling Foreman and BHGE HSE Specialist.
- Ensuring site rig contractor and Service Company personnel perform safely and efficiently and in accordance with their contractual obligations.
- Participating in and manage audits in conjunction with the client’s Drilling Foreman and BHGE HSE Specialist. Ensure audit items are closed in a timely manner..
- Planning for and manage rig moves in a safe and efficient manner, Check and report on the status of the preparation of the next location in a timely manner highlighting any issues seen.
- Ensuring that the client’s Drilling Foreman and BHGE Project Coordinator are fully briefed on all drilling operational matters and site issues and plans, Ensures timely communication of site reports including the Daily Drilling Reports.
- Maintaining a well file on the current well and ensure the well file data is archived correctly and Prepares Action Tracker for ongoing technical issues that are being worked on or issues that can affect future wells. Communicate same to the client’s Drilling Foreman and the BHGE Coordinator
- Mobilizing materials, equipment, and services in a timely manner and initiates the removal of redundant materials and the immediate return of rental equipment when it is no longer required.
- Taking part in and assists prepare Pre-Spud Meetings at the wellsite for upcoming wells and Provides written detailed handover to relief covering all aspects of HSE, operations and equipment issues covered during his trip, with the plan forward
**Fuel your passion**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have Post-secondary school educated with a minimum technical engineering diploma but preferably an engineering degree.
- Have minimum 5 to 10-years’ experience in Underbalanced Coiled Tubing Drilling
- Have valid IADC well control certification
- Have comprehensive knowledge of well control best practices and procedures, Coiled Tubing Drilling System (injectors, power packs, pumps etc) and Underbalanced Drilling System (chokes, separators, flare stacks, ESDs etc)
- Have knowledge of Drill string design and down hole dynamic, Directional Drilling, Coil tubing management '“ Cerberus, Orion and Argus (CTES / NOV) ,Wellflo multi-phase flow software ,Pore Pressure/Fracture Pressure determination, Bits / Dull Grading, Hydraulics, including nozzle selection and Drilling fluid management
- Have safety management, safety leadership and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) at the wellsite.
- Be fluent in English (oral and written) and have excellent all-round communication skills.

Equal time rotation 28 on / 28 off, travel time on day’s off
Shift work 12 hrs. on / 12 hrs. on call at the site
