**Job Summary**:
The Director of the Center for Research and Consultancy Studies is responsible for the overall strategic leadership, management, and administration of the center. S/he will provide direction and oversight for the center's research and consultancy activities, including developing and implementing research and consultancy projects, securing funding and grants, managing staff, and building partnerships with external stakeholders. The Director will ensure that the center's work aligns with the university’s mission and vision and contributes to the advancement of knowledge in relevant areas.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Develops and implements the center's strategic plan, annual business plan, and budget, in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
- Oversees the design, implementation, and management of research and consultancy projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Builds and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic and research institutions, government agencies, and industry partners, to identify potential research and consultancy opportunities and foster collaborations.
- Develops and implements a fundraising strategy to secure funding and grants for the center's research and consultancy activities, in collaboration with the institution's development office.
- Manages and lead the center's staff, ensuring that they are adequately trained, motivated, and engaged in the center's work.
- Ensures that the center's work is of high quality and aligned with the university’s mission and vision and contributes to the advancement of knowledge in relevant areas.
- Monitors and evaluates the center's performance, including its research output, consultancy services, financial performance, and stakeholder satisfaction, and report regularly to VP of Graduate Studies, Research and Consultancy Studies.
- Ensures that the center complies with relevant institutional policies and procedures, as well as ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Provides strategic advice and guidance to VP of Graduate Studies, Research and Consultancy Studies on research and consultancy activities, funding opportunities, and partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Represents the center at conferences, seminars, and other events, and build the university’s reputation as a leader in research and consultancy.
- Develops and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on the center's research and consultancy activities, including output, impact, and financial performance.
- Works collaboratively with other departments within the university to identify areas of common interest and develop joint research and consultancy projects.
- Develops and maintain a network of contacts within the academic and research community, government agencies, and industry partners, to facilitate collaboration and partnership building.
- Identify and manage risks associated with the center's research and consultancy activities and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Ensures that the center's research and consultancy activities are aligned with the university’s strategic priorities and contribute to the university’s overall goals and objectives.
- Performs all other duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner.
- Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by Vice President of Graduate Studies.

**Education & Experience**:

- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent from an accredited institute. PHD degree is preferred.
- Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent (Desirable).
- Minimum of six (06) years experience in managing research, commercialization projects or related fields for master’s degree. or eight (08) years experience for PHD degree.
