Medical Writer

Responsible for creating, editing, disseminating and analysing scientific content/data related to medical research topics. Works closely with Medical, Research, and Clinical professionals to create clear, concise, and accurate content for research proposals, scientific manuscripts and patent purposes.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Produces completes originalresearch papers and scientific proposals using data and ideas from Medical,Research, and Clinical professionals to support publication submission.
- Provides advanced editing andproofing services of all scientific contents, ethics, and data of publicationdraft produced by investigators.
- Writs high quality literaturereviews on diseases, treatments, or other topics relevant to specific projectsas requested.
- Analyses research data in collaborationwith the Biostatics, Epidemiology, and Science Computing Department (BESC).
- Works closely with cliniciansand investigators in answering the reviewers’ comments.
- Keeps up-to-date with relevantguidelines (e.g. CONSORT, ICMJE, GPP) and journal, conference, and/or grantingagency requirements for financial disclosures or statements of competinginterests.
- Transforms Research data intopublic health knowledge for marketing and branding purposes.
- Develops and executes advancedworkshops, training courses and educational materials in medical writing, theprocess of publication submission, journal selection, citation analysis andother related topics.
- Develops research marketingand promotional/educational materials for media publications.
- Mentors and leads MedicalWriters Assistants on complex projects, as necessary.

**Education**:
PhD or Master’s Degree in HealthApplied Sciences, Medical Sciences, or other related discipline is required.

**Experience Required**:
Four (4) years of related experiencewith PhD, or six (6) years with Master’s is required.

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
Certified by the American Medical Writers Association AMWA, or European Medical Writers Association EMWA courses and workshops is required. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and contribute thoughtful ideas. Advanced skills in writing and referencing software/styles. Medical Degree MD is preferred.
