**Position Purpose**
- To implement KAAUH Safety and Fire Prevention Management Programs for the entire facilities and to provide suitable safety guidance and information for the KAAUH facilities.**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities**
- Conduct safety audit inspections to in facilities, work areas, system and equipment. Monitors site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with KAAUH safety requirements and fire management program.
- Assist the Senior Safety Specialist in performing variety of routine and complex technical, and professional work in analyzing and administering various components of the hospital fire safety programs.
- Evaluates hazardous conditions and recommends engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or personal protective equipment and assigns risk assessment to be utilized by departments to prioritize corrective actions.
- Conduct fire and safety training to all KAAUH staff as required.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of all firefighting equipment and fire protection system.
- Coordinates the department activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Ensure that the facility is compliant with fire safety standard as required by the Saudi Civil Defense, Joint Commission International Standard for Accreditation and the Central Board for Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions.
- Participates in performance improvement, information management activities and coordinate a multidisciplinary team to conduct ongoing safety tours of clinical and nonclinical areas
- Respond to fire emergency or incident and other related emergency matters.
- Order suspension of activities that pose threats and compromise the patients, families, visitor and staffs' health and safety.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
- Selects, administers, and documents progressive and corrective disciplinary measures.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to coworkers, and peers.
- Participate in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Respect patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

Minimum or Required:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic, /Mechanical/ Electrical/Safety / Health and Safety or equivalent. with 4 years of experience.
- Saudi Council for Engineers Accreditation.
- Diploma or Certificate in NEBOSH or OSHA or IOSH or ISO-45001.

Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Electronic, /Mechanical/ Electrical/Safety / Health and Safety or equivalent. with 2 years of experience.
