**Job Description and Qualifications**

This is a Staff position, based at the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project site location providing auditing oversight at all work locations under the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) scope.
- The incumbent shall be responsible for the development and implementation of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company’s Audit program. The role will see the incumbent leading auditing efforts on behalf of NGHC, supported by the EHSS Manager and relevant Subject Matter Experts.
- The incumbent will be expected to contribute to the Company’s governance and assurance framework through the implementation of a risk-based audit plan and the presentation of clear, concise audit reports to Senior Management. The incumbent is expected to have detailed knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental management systems, auditing processes and ISO Standards and will be required to develop an understanding of all applicable NEOM requirements.
- The incumbent will report directly to the EHSS Manager, working closely with site leadership and the EPC Contractor to deliver a comprehensive audit program across the EHS portfolio.**NATURE AND SCOPE**
- ** Description**: NEOM Green Hydrogen Project consists of 3 elements: Power Elements (PWE), Green Hydrogen (GHE), and the Hydrogen Innovation & Development Centre (HIDC).
- ** Project Location**: Northwest coast of Saudi Arabia, approx. 120km from Tabuk city

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**

This position is accountable for the following:

- Development and implementation of Company EHS Auditing program, including tools and processes
- Support a cross functional team in planning, facilitating and executing a comprehensive audit program covering a full range of functions across the EHS portfolio
- Ensure that the audit program is developed and delivered in accordance with agreed professional audit standards
- Responsible for the presentation of audit reports to Senior Management
- Perform onsite audits and field work, observing actual practices and execution of Contractor Plans, Policies and Procedures
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert regarding EHS related policies, programs and regulatory compliance
- Drive stakeholder agreement on audit findings to help develop actionable plans for mitigation
- Entering and tracking all associated audit findings, observations and recommendations
- Validates closure of audit findings from review of close-out evidence
- Maintain an open and effective communication channel with the Head of EHS
- Assist the EHSS Manager in ensuring the EHS Plan is updated on a regular basis
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of the NGHC EHS management system
- Support the EHSS Manager in the development of internal EHS control processes
- Company focal point for all external and 3rd Party Audits
- Maintaining a strong and effective professional working relationship with NEOM Green Hydrogen Company personnel, NEOM, Contractor, and other stakeholders

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in EHS Auditing
- 5+ years’ experience working on large-scale construction projects
- Certified and experienced EHS Auditor
- Working knowledge of Safety Management System principles
- Ability to analyse and audit Contractor procedures and the implementation thereof, to identify potential non-compliances and recommended corrective actions
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence whilst conducting duties with discretion
- Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
- High attention to detail
- Good team player, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
- Ability to work in a multifaceted / multinational organizational matrix with a variety of working relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Familiarity in SharePoint use and maintenance
- Willingness to travel and be based in remote location

**Advantages**:

- Previous experience working in the Middle East
- Previous experience working in a Client or EPC capacity
- Previous experience participating in Lenders Audits (knowledge of World Bank and/or IFC Environmental and Social Performance standards)
- Arabic speaking
