The Job Opportunity

Report to the Electrical Engineer or Technical Manager and supervise and assign work orders in the Electrical Department. The Supervisor will take responsibility for the assets assigned to the Team, ensuring that day-to-day tasks are undertaken and have a key and integral role in the development of the HVAC team. Oversee the planning and scheduling of all resources required to deliver the HVAC maintenance service including specifying procedures, parts, labour and the control of specialist service delivery partners. Once tasks are completed, audit to ensure that workmanship is to the required standards.
Six Sigma certification is a preference (yellow belt/green belt/black belt)

Key accountabilities
Provide technical support to the project on all electrical equipment and control systems.
Be responsible for the delivery of all planned and reactive tasks in accordance with the Service Level Specification requirements
Support the Maintenance activities of the department by providing specialist electrical engineering knowledge and advice, associated with the full range of building services equipment.
Provide input for daily and monthly management reports and shift handover reports in a timely manner.
Carry out risk assessments and develop Method Statements to ensure all tasks are carried out safely so as not to harm people, equipment or property
In conjunction with the Technical Management, assist in providing scope of work and provide support for the selection of Specialist Service Partners
Plan, coordinate and supervise in house staff, consultants and specialist service contractors providing inspection of works to ensure quality of service delivery. Report all shortfalls
Assist in conducting building surveys and asset collation and input into the development of the annual and 5 Year Asset Maintenance Plans, Energy Management Plans and the Condition Survey

Self-motivated with sound analytical skills and work on own initiative.
Fluent in the English Language both written and Oral
Problem solving and decision making
Customer service focused
Strong field service orientation with a proven, demonstrable track record of maintenance of associated equipment.
Supervisory skills to motivate and control workforce

Specific requirements
At least five years of experience with advance knowledge in building services.
Experience in electrical equipment and associated systems and controls
Experience in working in a commercial building, hospital or other facilities management services environment
Knowledge of building services systems and equipment
Experienced in training team members
Experienced in ensuring quality work from subordinates by inspection
Customer satisfaction skills
Computer skills in Microsoft Office software
Six Sigma certification is a preference (Yellow Belt/Green Belt/Black Belt)
