**TITLE: PROCEDURE FOR ENGINEERING AND DESIGN PROCESS**

**Job Role: Project Engineering Manager (PEM)**

**Reporting to**:
**Chief Engineering Manager - International (Renewable BU)
- HE-BU (as functional reporting)**
**&**
**Project Director & Segment Head (Renewables-Middle East & Africa) (as hiererchical reporting)**

**Objective**:
As a Project Engineering Manager, the person shall ensure that the engineering activities of the project takes place within stipulated time (w.r.to both quality & cost). She / He shall ensure the adherence to L2 schedule during execution of the project. She / He shall work on optimizations
/ alternate proposals / solutions for quick delivery of the project with a positive margin.
She / He shall perform inter-discipline coordination (Civil, Structural, MEP & Instrumentation) as required. The PEM shall perform work allocation and man-hours allocation of different roles in the project.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate with Project Planning Manager and ensure deliveries are aligned to Project

Schedule.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and ensure adherence to schedule.
- Conduct internal review meetings for resource optimization, allocation and enhance productivity.
- Review of designs, calculations & drawings and ensure their timely submissions.
- obtaining approvals from Consultants/Customer.
- Clarification of issues w.r.to vendors and support timely delivery of materials at project site.
- Capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time.
- Clarification to inter - discipline Managers for sorting out issues w.r.to design aspects of the equipment.
- Enable & review accurate estimation in terms of quantity for submission of Bill of

Materials.
- Review critical issues and procedural delays w.r.to design aspects of equipment and extend support to Site Execution teams.
- Ensure BIM implementation in the projects wherever required.
- Settle procurement issues and extend support to Supply Chain management for ensuring order finalization for Vendor Engineering.
- Extend support for BOQ, review of pre-bid offers and technical submissions & provide post-tender clarifications (after clarification from vendors) to the contracts team.
- Lead and manage team of Lead Engineers, Design Engineers and Draft persons.
- Review Vendor evaluation (w.r.t. technical specification requirement of the client).
- Ensure issuance of Technical Clearance by undertaking and facilitating necessary communication with suppliers.
- Communicate & clarify deliverable list from the client and obtaining resource requirement.
- To review and provide comments / suggestions on BOQ considering strategic & optimisation aspects.
- BOQ comparison with similar projects (benchmarking) & validating the differences (if any)
- Discussion & Coordination with local/international design consultant if any with respect to

Project engineering
- Engage in continuous discussions with Operation team - in fulfilling technical expectations throughout the Project engineering cycle, till close out & handover of project to customer.
- To Ensure with the team on Maintaining Project specific EDRC deliverables in a structured file server and maintain documentation status.
- To lead Knowledge sharing session about new vendor products, technical solutions, etc., involving BU, Projects, SCM team based on need.
- To monitor and sensitize the team on implementation of lessons learnt from ongoing / executed projects.
- Problem solving and decision-making skill is mandatory.
- To lead and contribute Value Engineering activities and come out with optimizations.
- To Lead Engineering status related presentations to Management
- To track and escalate to next level in the organisation at the right time to avoid any future issues.
- Should be highly pro-active and able to forecast and present any issues related to critical path in the project engineering.
- Previous exposure to Project engineering Management is added advantage.
- Comfortable with MS office tools, PVsyst, ETAP, ACAD
- Proficiency in English is mandatory

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Riyadh: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
