**Chartered Mechanical Engineer, 35,000 to 39,000 SAR per month - Riyadh**

Our client is a highly established organisation that provides some of the world's most advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions. They are currently building a new Headquarters and require an experienced Chartered Mechanical Engineer to monitor and review the project.

**Responsibilities**
- To carryout design assurance activities including the review of the construction drawings, design calculations, material submittals, Request for information forms and any other document related to the detail design & make sure it is comply with the concept definition document & standards.
- To ensure that all FM activities under their control are undertaken in accordance with the applicable specifications, standards, codes of practice and quality system procedures.
- Support the Head of Engineering & the Engineering Manager in making Mechanical Engineering decisions required to ensure project progress without compromising cost, quality or specification within the contractual guidelines.
- In liaison with the HoE and Engineering Manager, monitor on a regular basis the actual progress of the detail design against programmed start/finish dates within their engineering discipline.
- Ensure that all Risks and Opportunities associated with the activities under their control are identified, communicated to the HoE, and that the necessary risk mitigation and opportunity realisation actions are identified and implemented.

**Experience and qualifications**
- Chartered Engineer with Mechanical Engineer Degree and Registered in the SCE with significant Mechanical Engineering experience
- Expert networking and communication skills used at a senior level with governments, customers, suppliers, partners and sub-contractors
- Understanding of engineering, design and quality standards (NFPA, BS, CIBSE, ASHRAE & ATEX.. etc).
- Communication is key to success of any project so constant feedback and reporting of progress and issues will be required. This will be to any member of the project team as required by the nature of the task.
- Political and cultural awareness/ knowledge in areas relating to KSA business.
