**Primary Purpose of The Position**:
- Drive the Preventive Maintenance program (Periodical, monthly & daily) for the Plant process equipment and auxiliaries. Communicate and implement the maintenance program with production and engineering departments’ personnel. Track Monthly compliance.
- Daily Planning and scheduling of maintenance activities and work plan for the department. Attend Morning meetings, listen to key stakeholders and plan daily activities and remedial actions.
- Plan for Plant shutdowns, plan spare parts for shutdown Maintenance in advance, Execute shutdown maintenance and check effectiveness of shutdowns post startup.
- Record the maintenance activities done, Maintain Equipment histories. Review job plans frequently and maintain all information up to date and generate required reports.
- Review the latest version of spare parts and upgrade the equipment under responsibility according with prior approval. Facilitate contact and liaison with foreign suppliers to develop all the tooling/spare parts used for Plant. Maintain Inventory of all spare parts used in plant in co-ordination with spare parts stores manager.
- Interpret machine manuals and drawings and utilize on daily basis for maintenance planning and spare parts planning.
- Lead the process team for Process and maintenance issues. Use Lean tools such as Fish bone, why-why analysis on daily basis to analyze the process and equipment issues. Liaison with Sector engineering team to overcome process issues. Communication with machine suppliers for chronic issues in machine, give required information and resolve issues on timely manner.
- Drive MTTR and MTBF for key Equipment. Track and analyze root cause of major breakdowns and identify a permanent solutions for them.
- Drive Predictive maintenance system in plant, Implement Vibration analysis, Thermal audit, ultrasonic leak detection, Oil spectrum analysis. Analysis the data from predictive maintenance activities and implement corrective actions.
- Handle any other instructions given by Engineering Manager from time to time. Act as Engineering Manger during his absence.
- Support engineering manager in preparing budget for capital projects and maintenance expense. Execution of all plant projects from the start to completion. Identify and recommend to Manager Engineer AMCs for various equipment and services.
- Controlling all Maintenance costs within agreed budget costs and strive to meet the maintenance cost / 1000 cans target. Initiate and implement initiatives to reduce maintenance Expenses.
- Develop, coordinate and implement actions to reduce energy consumption.
- Technical Lead for down gauge, light weighting and other cost saving initiatives.
- Lead team in operating with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, striving to achieve excellence in all endeavors. Training & development for Engineering team are put into effect and continuously reviewed, revised and maintained. Provide training to new Joiners and existing employees on various engineering functions and process.
- Maintain/improve in-house Tool room for plant tooling.
- Drive size changes and new equipment startups in the plant. Look for innovative, accurate and repeatable foolproof methods for Size changes to achieve vertical startups.
- Implement EIP Best practices. Lead machine Modifications / upgrades. Write Best practices from the plant and submit to Sector.
- Liaison with Local / Foreign Contractors for completion of work on efficient manner. Opening meeting, follow-up and closing meeting wherever necessary to make expectation clear and check if the work is on target.
- Comply with all legal requirements related to environment and safety. Follow and maintain organization’s SOPs and safe working practices. Participate in hazards & risk assessment of equipment and processes as technical expert.
- Maintain the Process / ancillary equipment in such a condition that quality and hygiene standards are maintained.
**Professional & Education Qualification**:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge_**:
- Ability to prioritize workload based upon the plant requirements and KPI’s. Good planning skills, coordination skill and follow-up skill
- Be creative and proactive contributor on the management team, focused on identifying opportunities to continue improvement
- Problem solving & total quality skills. Good understanding of modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Structured Problem Solving, TPM, Six Sigma etc.
- Good computer skills - ability to manage via computerized data.
