Manage the department categories to achieve the financial target of **sales & profit **by developing and implementing the department **strategy and tactics **that maintains the **price & promotion **strategy active and dynamic and achieve the desired **market share **, and implement the proper **assortment planning **strategies while **optimizing the inventory **and leading the adequate alignment of the department plan with all the **concerned stakeholders **whether internal (other departments as supply chain, marketing ) or external (vendors) in addition to building **strategic long-term **relationship with key suppliers within the **compliance **of the internal polices and local rules and regulations

**Accountabilities**

**Strategy & Tactics**:

- Responsible of develop the category strategy by cascading the business unit strategy through ensuring their alignment and ensure the strategy execution by following-up with the category managers and align with Buying managers and merchandise planner and the category marketers on the divisional strategy.
- Lead and develop the tactics for the Online and Brick & Mortar, which shall achieve the set strategy through searching for product differentiation opportunities, innovations, and exclusive offers from the suppliers, reading market insights anticipating trends and be ahead of the market dynamics specially in key differentiated areasetc. to maintain Nahdi market leading position and market share.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of strategies, making adjustments as needed to drive desired outcome and Identify and prioritize key strategic projects, ensuring their successful execution and delivery.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities, trends, and potential risks.

**Cross Functional Alignment**:

- Responsible of the unit’s promotion plan -through the collaboration with the marketing team
- by analyzing the price discounts, the offers, items selection, items availability etc. to maximize the unit’s sales, maintain the customers’ satisfaction and profits.
- Manage and monitor the stock turns performance and availability through the collaboration with the supply chain team to maintain the stock level/availability then collaborate with the merchandise-planning department to ensure proper stock allocation.
- Lead on the collaboration with the marketing team regarding the category strategy and the implementation of store communication and digital platforms to ensure the best product display.
- Develop the operations team the category execution strategy through the alignment with the operations excellence and the concerned stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of the set tactics and activities.
- Accountable for developing and maintains the optimum category planogram with the space planning and store design to maximize the sales and profit and guests’ satisfaction.
- Lead with his team on developing the innovation of the private label differentiated assortment and maximize the sales and the existing assortment in coordination with the correspondent private label team member.
- Responsible on optimizing and enhancing the category inventory within the approved OTB and inventory target for the category while liquidating the undesired stocks by different tactics in coordination with SC, Buying and merchandise planning team.
- Lead to develop the marketing activities with the key suppliers and ensure the proper execution to achieve the set unit strategy and KPIs.
- Accountable of Approve the new items, items listing, delisting and best makers’ deals to ensure the achievement of the sales targets and profits.

**Sales Plan**:

- Drive alignment of the sales plan with key stakeholders by conducting regular reviews and implementing Sales & Operations Policy (S&OP). This ensures the validation of the Sales Quota (SQs) process, aligning it with projected annual achievements.
- Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.

**Negotiation Process**:

- Lead on the negotiation process with the vendors through supporting the buying team to achieve the targeted profit margin, targeted sales, maintain the relationship with the suppliers and secure the inventory levels.
- Develop and implement negotiation strategies to maximize profitability, minimize costs, and optimize value for the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, fostering open lines of communication and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in negotiation techniques, continuously refining skills and approaches to achieve optimal results.

**Department Management**:

- Responsible of the team’s performance through providing performance feedback, following-up the KPIs achievement.etc and set the required development and on job-training accordingly to ensure the achievement of the
