In this role you will ensure consistency with applicable codes and customer quality requirements in an environment geared for industrial ventilation, airborne contamination control or exhaust filtration systems. You will provide cooling and heating load calculations as well as air and water distribution system pressure drop calculations. You will review vendor and subcontractor submittals as well as select HVAC equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- May function as discipline Project Structural Inspector on Façade building Envelope, Skywalks/ Skybridge project, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
- Ensure the efficiency, quality and performance of the Structural Steel/Façade works to meet the project objectives.
- Review and closely monitor project schedule and Structural systems activities.
- Ensure the efficiency, quality and performance of the Structural works to meet the project objectives.
- Coordinate with Contractors design and development teams to ensure that contracted design requirements are reflected in all Structural building works & services.
- Coordinate with the Contractors construction team to ensure that all necessary engineering work related to Structural/Civil services meet design approvals.
- Validate through tests, the evaluation of theoretical design elements.
- Ensure projects design and execution adhere to engineering principles and techniques
- Review Structural/civil systems with and considering the implications of issues related to design.
- Verify all Structural systems design proposals/Calculations submitted for review by the Contractor.
- Monitoring the Structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents, manufacturer’s instructions, and the procedures manual.
- Reviewing all the Structural related shop drawings, RFIs and ITPs and discussing with the team, with relevant supporting documents to process for approval.
- Coordinating and supervising the installation work of Structural items.
- Checking the contractors As-built drawings for adequacy.
- Ensuring that inspections are carried out in time and quality of installation and delivered materials is maintained as per the relevant specifications/standards
- Oversee all phases of testing and commissioning of project equipment/instrumentation and ensure they satisfy design intent and care in compliant with the project specifications.
- Assist and coordinate in performing of system integrated testing activities that demonstrate the integration of the various project systems.
- Oversee the technical design review of Structural/civil works, excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
- Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
- Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
- Analyze & reviews suppliers data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
- Analyze & review operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; reviews O & M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.
- Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.
- Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

- BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering required
- 10+ years experience in civil structural projects.
- Potential to perform in a lead capacity
- Revit experience preferred
