**Job Summary**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs unit-level maintenance on aircraft power train and rotor systems
- Removes and replaces power train quills, transmissions adapting parts, rotary wing hub and tanks
- Disassembles friction dampers and hanger assemblies
- Disassembles repairs, reassembles, adjusts, balances and aligns power train and rotor components, systems and subsystems to include forward and aft rotor head assemblies according to directives
- Applies corrosion preventative procedures
- Cleans, preserves, and stores power train and rotor components
- Uses and performs operator maintenance on ground support equipment, common and special tools
- Maintains facilities for storage of returnable and hazardous materials
- Requisitions and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft power train and rotor systems and subsystems
- Prepares requests for turn-in and repair parts for power train and rotor components
- Uses common measuring tools necessary for performing the tasks described herein, precision measuring tools and alignment fixtures
- Assists customer in the requisition and maintenance of shop and bench stock items for repair of aircraft powertrain systems
- Uses and performs operator maintenance on common and special tools, AGSE and PGSE
- Ensures that aircraft powertrain activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements
- Establishes daily powertrain maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated OR rates
- Oversees the daily powertrain maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Maintenance Lead, in conjunction with Aviation Logistics for related platform parts and spares
- Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards
- Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to powertrain maintenance of the aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the Maintenance Lead
- Coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance operations support with the Maintenance Lead
- In coordination with the PC and Maintenance Lead, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures
- Enters data, reviews, and updates aircraft maintenance forms and records
- Provides On-the-Job Training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring to RSLFAC personnel in all aspects of aircraft powertrain tasks as necessary
- Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner
- Other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Lead

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Eight (8) years’ experience years as an aircraft powertrain mechanic
- Successfully completed and qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government armed forces Powertrain course or civilian equivalent training
- Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms or similar aviation maintenance management system, and other aircraft-related documentation
- Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner
- Possess a valid state or Government-issued driver’s license
- Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a US Citizen

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Military school trained
- Associate's degree preferred
- NDI Level II or higher preferred
