- Diploma in Mechanical- Minimum 5 years in a maintenance environment preferably in an Aluminium smelter. English Level: Level 3- Technical Qualification: Trade test is preferred (Mechanical, Electrical)- Others: Good computer skills (Word, Excel)**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out routine/Major maintenance and repairs on rotating equipment, hydraulic systems and pneumatic system.
- Diagnosis and rectification of faults.
- A>end all breakdown jobs and complete them with Safety and minimum delays.
- Liaise with the parts Warehouse to obtain parts.
- Ensuring Health & Safety regula5ons and safe working prac5ces are adhered to.
- Must be Proac5ve - contribute to con5nual improvement.
- Manage Work Orders in the Oracle system according to Madden's defined work processes.
- Ensure that all EHS requirements are met in the department.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping standards are met in the department.
- Ac5vely par5cipate in Maaden con5nual improvement process (Sugges5ons, DI etc.)
- Ensure LTV and PTW systems are compiled in the department.
- Write and review equipment SWIs.
- Mentor technicians and new recruits.
- Must have good communica5on skills.
- Specific Skills:
- Scheduled and performed regular predic5ve/preven5ve maintenance inspec5ons on simple and complex equipment.
- Perfomed repairs, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of Heavy equipment (Rodux Crusher, Ball Mills, Rotary breaker etc.)
- Perfomed repairs, troubleshoo5ng and preven5ve maintenance of conveyer systems
- Perfomed repairs, troubleshoo5ng and preven5ve maintenance of Hydraulic and pneuma5c systems
- Very good knowledge of all types of alignment such as laser Alignment.
- Very good knowledge of all types of bearings, coupling and mechanical joints that are used in aluminium or steel environment.
- Ability to read all kinds of engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repaid, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of how Carbon machines (Crushers, Blas5ng, cas5ng area, mixers and cooler etc.) are behaving to ease the troubleshoo5ng is preferred
- Reading and understanding all PDM reports (Vibra5on, oil analysis etc.)
- Very good knowledge of all types of Rota5ng equipment.
