**Job Summary**:
Supervisor the activities of contractor, consultants and subordinates in the development and implementation of a reliability centered mechanical maintenance program for MWSPC. Assists the mechanical maintenance team, facilities, resources and systems are developed and implemented before plant commissioning. Supervisor’s the assigned Mechanical Maintenance section(s) activities at MWSPC to ensure no harm to personnel and reliable plant operation in line with Business Objectives and a continuous improvement program. Responsibility includes mechanical maintenance activities, such as preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and plant turnarounds. Ensures all mechanical maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with MWSPC’s approved safety standards and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist Department management in planning and organizing resources (human & equipment) needed to deliver the departments objectives.
- Assists in the development of maintenance service agreements with customers and contractors.
- Assists in the development of maintenance KPI’s to ensure responsiveness to customers and to promote continuous improvement.
- Assists in development of the annual mechanical maintenance budget for assigned section(s) in conjunction with the relevant Plant Manager, monitors performance and highlights the reasons for deviation on a monthly basis.
- Assists in the development and implementation of mechanical maintenance policies and procedures.
- Supervisor the activities of Mechanical Maintenance personnel at MWSPC.
- Assists in the development and implementation the mechanical maintenance reliability program at MWSPC.
- Ensures that all mechanical maintenance work is performed efficiently at minimum cost and in accordance with MWSPC’s approved safety standards and procedures.
- Ensures mechanical resources are dedicated to assigned section(s) to meet normal requirements and that additional resources are assigned as required to meet abnormal, breakdown or turnaround requirements.
- Supports development and implementation of the maintenance workflow process and maintenance execution system (example: Oracle or SAP)
- Identifies and manages critical mechanical spare parts and mechanical maintenance tools including specialized tools.
- Ensures mechanical spare parts and consumables are adequately stocked in the warehouse and that adequate specifications and supplies have been developed to enable ordering / re-ordering. Ensure mechanical equipment failures are analyzed and improvement recommendations are implemented to prevent repeat failures.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree Engineering discipline or equivalent preferred. 8 years of direct experience as a mechanical or maintenance supervisor, within a Fortune 200 company, such as: Petroleum, Chemical, Fertilizer/Mining or other Industrial Manufacturing organizations. Experience in mineral processing is an asset.

**Skills**:

- Supervisory skills, budgeting, planning, forecasting and staff development skills.
- Proven track record of managing and directing maintenance support personnel for other major Industrial Manufacturing organizations.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant engineering principles and practices in chemical, mining or relevant in engineering and maintenance fields.
- Proven track record of managing time limited projects.
- Excellent relationship building skills (internal and external)
- Strong work ethic and be able to adhere to company, policies, and standard business etiquette.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English required,
- Self-starter with mínimal supervision for routine activities.
- Extensive computer skills in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) plus other software pertinent to the work performed would be advantageous.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and foster a cooperative team environment.
- Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus.
- International work experience in remote camp environment.
