This unique opportunity involves delving deeply into the diverse cultural practices and traditions of the region. **Profile**:

- Master's degree in Anthropology or Humanities
- Knowledge of the Arab World is mandatory
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in research projects
- Familiarity with research tools and techniques
- Open-mindedness and ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
- Team spirit, diplomacy, and professional presentation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills
- Fluent command of spoken and written Arabic and English is mandatory
- Excellent writing skills
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite

**Responsibilities**:
As a senior anthropologist/historian, your responsibilities may include:

- **Research Design**: Framing and designing research projects, formulate research questions, and develop methodologies to investigate the topic including identifying appropriate sources for gathering data.
- **Theoretical Framework**: Conducting extensive literature reviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of existing theories, concepts, and research related to the area of the study to lead to the creation of a tailored theoretical framework for the project.
- **Data Collection**: Overseeing the collection of data, which may include audio or video recordings, transcriptions, photographs, and field notes but also data collected from desktop research.
- **Data Analysis**: Analyzing the gathered data using quantitative and qualitative research methods. As part of the analysis, the expert would investigate the cultural, historical, and social contexts in which the legends have emerged and evolved. This may involve studying local belief systems, customs, rituals, and the role of legends within the community. He/she will also be asked to conduct a structural analysis of the content, perform a comparative analysis
- **Fieldwork**: Participating, lead and supervise fieldwork activities which could involve visiting communities, conducting interviews with storytellers and local experts, observing performances, and collecting relevant artifacts or documents associated with the legends.
- **Report Writing**:Participate to the writing of research findings reports. This involves presenting the research methodology, analysis, and conclusions in a clear and coherent manner.
