**Job Description**:
Carries out quantity surveying and commercial activities to meet project objectives, including providing advice, guidance and support to the project team. Responsible for measuring quantities in order to certify the payment certificates, contract documents, managing costs for new phases, undertaking cost analysis for additional work, performing risk and value management, cost control and project performance reporting.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare BOQ reconciliationPrepare Monthly Progress Report.Check the Contractor’s interim and final payment certificates.Evaluate unit rates for new items of works.Check joint measurements for interim payments.Compute final payment quantities.Maintain progress schedule and cash flow chart.Assist in preparation of Variation Orders.Assist in evaluating claims.Specific skills requiredExcellent working knowledge of QS practicesIn depth knowledge of the new forms of contract (FIDIC etc.)High level of critical thinking skillsHigh level of numerical skillsClear written/Verbal communication skillsHigh level of presentation skills

**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**: 10 years of related professional work experience.Middle East experience preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/Diploma in QS or in a related field.Membership in professional quantity surveying society.
