**Job Description and Qualifications**
**NGHC**
Air Products has entered into an agreement with ACWA Power and NEOM (all 3 have equal ownership) for the development of a $5bl green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility sited in NEOM. This is based on renewable energy principles and the project will integrate over four gigawatts of renewable solar, wind and storage power. It will produce green ammonia for export to global markets. The project is scheduled to be onstream in 2026.***
This position will be responsible for supervision and execution of site/field construction activities of GHE Project, including, but not limited to scope, estimate, plan and execution strategy with success factors (Safety, Schedule, Quality and Budget) include both external and internal customer satisfaction and other key specific objectives.**NATURE & SCOPE**
The main functions of this position are:
- To participate and support total site safety program of Contractor including sub-contractors.
- Participate in construction strategy and development of construction system/activities / procedures.
- Spot check work permits and procedures implementation during work by Contractors.
- Ensure that construction is in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and local regulations are followed.
- Coordinate / communicate with Project execution team (NGHC, APEPC & NEOM) for understanding interfaces and issue clarifications with Interface Manager / Engineer
- Ensure that work / activities are performed by Contractor with agreed / proper quality standards as specified in Contract by coordinating with Quality Manager / Engineers
- Daily / Weekly / Monthly report on progress of activities at site to be reported along with concerns / risks identified which impact on overall project execution.
- Effectively communicate, implement, and personally demonstrate a commitment to NGHC.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES**
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules and ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Organizing, attending, and participating in Construction / Project execution stakeholder meetings at site/field.
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Determining project construction changes with detailed analysis
- Providing administrative support as needed.
- Work with contractor on Developing construction strategies.
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
- Chair and facilitate construction meetings where appropriate.
**People Management**
- Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, and formal annual appraisals.
**ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- Engineering Degree in field of Civil or Mechanical engineering activities
- 8 - 10 years direct work experience in the complex or integrated process plant as Construction Supervisor / Site Supervisor
- Experience working to international codes relevant to Construction activities
- It would be desirable to have experience of supervising and administering contractors
- Ability to communicate (English written and oral) and work effectively with various supporting functions in the organization
- Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Flexible and works according to the needs of the Organization
- Open-minded individual, receptive to other ideas, able to persistent in the face of adversity
**SKILLS / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS**
- Must have a hands-on and proactive approach with clear accountability in Construction Coordination
- Strong communication and relation building skills; ability to successfully interact with stakeholders at all levels within a multicultural environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Able to remain extremely professional, composed and competent in multi-task, multi-national, rapid change environment and able to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent time management, problem solving, and issue resolution skills.
