Data Governance Developer - Informatica Axon & EDC

**Summary**: We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Developer with strong

expertise in both Informatica Axon and Informatica EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog) to drive our

understanding of data governance principles and practical experience in implementing,

managing, and optimizing data governance frameworks using Informatica tools. This role

requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams

to ensure that enterprise data is well-governed, cataloged, and accessible.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement and configure Informatica Axon to support and enhance data governance

initiatives across the organization.
- Upload and manage data governance policies, business glossaries, systems, data

sets, and attributes within Axon.
- Design and configure workflows within Axon, ensuring smooth data governance

operations, including data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Assign and manage stakeholders in Axon, ensuring appropriate ownership and

accountability for data assets.
- Create, manage, and schedule Data Quality (DQ) rules, link business attributes with

physical attributes, and oversee the Data Quality dashboard to ensure ongoing

compliance and data integrity.
- Link business attributes with corresponding physical attributes, ensuring consistency

and traceability across the data landscape.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for business users and data stewards on

effectively using Informatica Axon.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to integrate Axon with other data

management tools and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
- Implement and configure Informatica EDC to establish a robust data catalog that

supports enterprise data governance.
- Perform scanning of various resources, including relational databases, non-relational

systems, file systems, and XML, using Informatica EDC to populate the data catalog.
- Build and manage data lineage to track data flow and transformations across the

enterprise.
- Populate and manage data domains and the data dictionary within EDC to support

data discovery and classification.
- Manage and configure custom attributes within EDC to meet specific business

requirements.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders to ensure proper segregation of metadata

according to business domains and governance standards.
- Ensure seamless integration between Informatica EDC and Axon to maintain

consistency in metadata, lineage, and data governance practices.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for both Informatica Axon and EDC

platforms, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes,

policies, system configurations, workflows, and catalog structures.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in data governance,

particularly in the use of Informatica Axon and EDC.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a

related field.

**Experience**:

- 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in implementing and managing Informatica Axon and Informatica

ED**C.**

**Technical Skills**:
**- Informatica Axon**:

- Uploading policies, business glossaries, systems, data sets, and attributes.
- Creating and managing workflows.
- Assigning stakeholders and managing Data Quality (DQ) rules and dashboards.
- Linking business attributes with physical attributes.

**- Informatica EDC**:

- Scanning resources such as relational and non-relational databases, file systems, and XML.
- Building data lineage and managing data domains.
- Populating the data dictionary and managing custom attributes.
- Collaborating with technical stakeholders to segregate metadata as per business domains.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.
- Experience with metadata management, data quality, and data lineage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively with business and technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with mínimal

supervision.
- Certification in Informatica Axon, Informatica EDC is a plus.
