**Project Overview**:
Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete. The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system. Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

**Position Summary**:
The Electrical Site Engineer reports to the Construction Manager and is mainly responsible for supervising construction activities and coordinating subcontractors for electrical installations related to MV and LV equipment, cable pulling, small power and lighting and construction testing. They will ensure that work is carried out safely, on time, to specification and as per contract requirements. Some of the specific activities involved, but not limited to are:
**Essential Job Duties**:

- Ensure key construction enablers; engineering design/information and materials are available for planned work.
- Support construction work planning process through development of three-week schedules and daily work lists
- Co-ordinate works between different installation teams (e.g., CSA, MEP and Transit Systems)
- Initiate field material requisitions.
- Perform material withdrawal requests from central warehouse and check material when delivered to site.
- Ensure quantities are reported correctly and in timely manner.
- Coordinate and assist system completion of direct hire and subcontractor’s scope of work.
- Develop and monitor to-go work lists for various commodities.
- Perform redline mark-ups for as-built documentation
- Attend progress meetings, coordination meetings, quality meetings with subcontractor and other departments.
- Interprets electrical design engineering drawings and prepares construction working drawings for the use of Contractors as required.
- Field sketches of revisions and additions and preparing “as built” drawings.
- Reviews design drawings, related vendor drawings and installation instructions and studies interference problems.
- Tracks commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database programs as required.
- Assists in coordination of Contractor material deliveries, storage of materials, expediting and engineering reports related to the schedule.
- Prepares projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
- Monitors the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Provides input to constructability and lessons learned.
- Be a visible leader in safety; confirm all electrical safety hazards have been identified and communicated to the work group with the LOTO review and support the LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) and permitting teams where required.
- Plan work with the subcontractors and monitor it and control it in accordance with the terms of the contract to stay within the schedule constraints.

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications**:

- A recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 1-3 years of professional experience in construction of large-scale industrial/ Infrastructure projects either in direct construction or construction management role.
- Prior experience working in Metro projects is preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders.
- Ability to drive work in a safe manner to meet project targets.
- Experience of construction work method statements and risk assessments
- Experience of working in a live operational environment
