**Job Purpose
- Manage inventory of supplies on OR and supports continuous operation.Supervises the overall functioning of the Operating Room Material and supply store, and maintain effective utilization of the supplies.**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Manage the acquisition and maintenance of operating room (OR) stocks and supplies within the approved budget allocation.
- Liaison between the stores within the OR and other Departments.
- Primary liaison between OR and Supply Chain Management in dealing with supplies.
- Provides and evaluation of OR products and supplies.
- Assists with demonstrating justification for required items, exploring possible alternatives, and the consolidation of orders for costs containment when possible.
- Ensures standardization across OR and eliminates duplication of stock and supplies.
- Establishes, monitors, and compiles evaluations on OR products and supplies.
- Monitors and ensures products are ordered accurately.
- Assists the Head in the preparation of the stores within the OR for annual physical inventory.
- Assists the Head in coordinating with delivery of new equipment to user's areas.
- Reports to the Head any work related problems or issues.
- Maintain up to date inventory and understand and develop OR supply storage location.
- Maintaining supplies labelling and Agreeing par levels and AMU for all items.
- Liaise with nursing to anticipate and adapt to changing needs.
- Work with OR nursing, OR management ad Supply Chain to anticipate and communicate critical shortages.
- Assist with regular delivery and storage of supplies.
- Assist with re-ordering of supplies through IT systems and monitor progress of all requests.
- Work with supply chain on non-available items and evaluation of possible alternatives.
- Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
- Participates and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or with multidisciplinary teams.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Job Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor Degree in Anesthesia, Operating Room, Health/hospital Administration, Health Sciences, or Nursing.
