**Senior Planning Engineer**

**Planning and Scheduling for Infrastructure projects (Wet and Dry utilities)**
- Create and review baselines, recovery/revised and updated periodic schedules.
- Planning, costing and scheduling metrics and tools (work breakdown structure), collecting performance data

(installed quantities, expended labor hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract labor), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analyzing and reporting (earned value, productivity and risk analysis).
- Developing project master schedule, updating, monitoring and reviewing contractor construction schedules, submittals, material delivery, procurement logs and daily follow-up in addition to the necessary productivity measurement studies and associated corrective measures.
- Implementing ‘Work Order’ procedures in conjunction with QA/QC staff.
- Identifying and tracking changes, actual and potential, to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with the client and project management.
- Participating in contract administration.
- Reviewing and approving contractor’s work programs submissions.
- Implements and maintains the Planning/Scheduling portion of the program. Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
- Develops and maintains critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule. Assesses the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Reports schedule status to all levels of project and program management as well as to the Client.
- Provides computer input and performs analytical review of reports generated.
- Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting. May provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to others in the resolution of project control problems.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Must work with project managers and project controls manager in the areas of planning and scheduling.
- Must understand and interpret contract specifications to accordingly prepare and review construction schedules.
- Must collect and report on project schedules identifying and assisting in analysis of project schedule variances and assist in the development of corrective action.
- Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder relations, and risk management takes place across projects

**Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) as well as 8+ years of related work experience, or equivalent work experience required
- Assignments require the working knowledge of Oracle Primavera and various software used in the Project

Controls Department, such as Excel, and Document and Materials Controls System (DMCS).
