Jacobs is supporting a Government organisation to help modernize and develop its communications network and part of this strategy is the implementation of a Nationwide Fibre Network. This includes the supply, installation and design of fibre optic projects at multiple locations (Central, East and West) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will also seek to minimise the cost of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quantity. This includes ensuring statutory building regulations are met.

You will also prepare estimates and costs of the work and when the project is in progress, you’ll keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.

Key responsibilities & experience
- Pre and post contract commercial support
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or client
- Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
- Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs
- Interim valuations and payment certificates
- Assisting in variations analysis, recommendations and management
- Assisting in risk and value management and cost control functions
- Assisting in identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Assisting in preparation of progress / cost reports
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
- Provide post-occupancy advice, facilities management services and life cycle costing advice
- Assist clients in locating and accessing additional and alternative sources of funding
- Advice on the maintenance costs of specific buildings

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
The post-holder will hold a degree in quantity surveying, accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
