Retail Planer

Serve as a business partner to the buyers and others to analyze, plan, forecast, and evaluate financial data to support and implement profitable merchandise strategies.
- Develop seasonal merchandise plans with team to maximize opportunities and minimize risk.
- Forecast and validate projections to ensure sales and inventory objectives are being met.
- Must be result oriented & takes full ownership for the job roll
- Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Based on the plan, coordinates with factories, warehouse on product / merchandise requirements in the stores in a planned way.
- Identifies gaps in product availability and takes timely action. Coordinates & visits the store regularly for qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Work with the stores closely to actively manage inventory levels. This includes planning backup orders, recommending orders, increasing/decreasing inventory, and/or canceling orders.
- On a monthly and quarterly basis, generate inventory report & action taken to mitigate the shortfall.
- Establish and monitor store capacity Vs inventory levels
- Manage inventory flow of goods to support sales and product turn for a portion of a product category as assigned.
- Analyze and maintain individual store inventory levels to maximize sales and profits, while working closely with teammates to coordinate the flow of information in a timely manner to deliver product against deadline.
- Work with logistics team to ensure healthy balance of inventory.
- Maintain in-season product plans and forecast. Collaborate with team to execute top-down and bottom-up roles of individual SKUs and styles.
- Must have 3 - 5 years of experience as a Merchandise Planner with a small or medium size retailer
- Strong aptitude with numbers and clear understanding of retail math skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate both oral & written clearly and persuasively,
- Excels in team-environments and in building and developing strong interpersonal relationships

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Excel

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Riyadh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
