- Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries, verify received goods, and handle discrepancies as necessary.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, highlighting low stock levels or potential shortages.
- Conduct routine stock inspections to ensure compliance with established storage and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill material requests, ensuring timely availability of required items.
- Implement and enforce proper storage and handling procedures to prevent damage or loss of inventory.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and update records accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase requisitions based on inventory needs and consumption patterns.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize excess stock and reduce carrying costs.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to reconcile discrepancies and address billing issues with suppliers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the storage facility.
- Participate in periodic audits and stocktaking exercises to reconcile physical stock with recorded levels.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and guidelines in the storage and handling of materials.
