- Serves as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for ATC operations and procedures with potential oversight of assigned ATC specialists. Operates fixed ATC Tower and/or GCA facilities, providing positive control for aircraft operating within designated area. Responsible for supporting the safe operation, movement, and flight procedures of aircraft in a training environment.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- A. Duties/Responsibilities:

- 1. Operates as a facility trained Controller for assigned facility.
- 2. May provide training management for assigned Air Traffic Control Specialists.
- B. Independence: Works within ICAO, GACA, and MNG ATC rules, procedures, and regulations with mínimal supervision.
- C. Supervisory Responsibilities: May be designated to provide supervision of Air Traffic Control Specialists within the facility during shift.
- D. May be required to cross train to facilitate manning requirements.**Minimum Qualifications**
- A. Education Level:

- 1. Graduate of a DoD, FAA, or equivalent Air Traffic Control Course.
- 2. Have a Control Tower Operator (CTO) Certificate and/or Air Traffic Control Specialist Certificate
- B. Experience:

- 1. Minimum of (4) years ATC experience as a DoD or FAA Controller required. Minimum of (6) years ATC experience preferred.
- 2. Must have been in an ATC environment within the last 2 years.
- 3. Minimum Tower Local and Ground Control rating as required.
- 4. Minimum Radar Arrival/Departure Control and Precision Approach rating required.
- C. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:

- 1. Have ability to obtain or possess a valid FAA Class II Aviation Medical Certificate (FAA Form 8500-9).
- 2. Must possess an understanding of Aviation Operations Management specific to fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
- 3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
- 4. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
- 5. Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks etc.
- 6. Valid driver’s license required.
