**Position Description**

We are in search of an Electrical Engineer to join our Assets Technical Solutions Department (ATSD) within Global Manufacturing.

ATSD is a versatile organisation liaising with technical and, in some instances, business support needs of the Domestic Refining & NGL Fractionation Admin Area. Its remit primarily addresses the technical requirements of Global Manufacturing, encompassing facility management and enhancing operational performance to execute corporate initiatives towards operational excellence and value generation.

Your main responsibility will be to devise strategies and procedures to ensure the safety, environmental, and economic risks associated with electrical equipment and systems are minimised throughout their lifespan, while adhering to relevant codes and standards. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance on critical electrical matters.

**Minimum Requirements**
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- A minimum of 15 years' experience in refining/petrochemical industries is required.
- Experience conducting electrical power system studies using ETAP modelling is advantageous.
- Proficiency in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting practices for industrial electrical systems is indispensable.
- Knowledge of power generation (cogeneration), power distribution, and power automation is desirable.
- Familiarity with electrical safety, arc flash hazard mitigation, hazardous area classification, power generation, distribution, and protection, as well as motors and controls, AC/DC systems, electrical studies, and industry standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, API, etc.) is essential.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Develop and manage a lifecycle management programme and database for critical electrical equipment.
- Oversee and administer the corporate arc flash hazard mitigation programme, including conducting audits.
- Provide technical expertise and participate in failure investigations to identify recurring electrical equipment failures and share outcomes with other facilities for mitigation.
- Establish and oversee a centralised service contract for critical assets such as UPS, ATS, Battery Charger, Excitation, and MV cables testing.
- Supervise the performance of Cogeneration assets and lead technical programmes, studies, and assessments.
