**Position Description**:
We are seeking an experienced petroleum engineer to join the Upstream Development Strategy & Reserves Department (UDS&RD) in Dhahran, **Saudi Arabia**. This team manages extensive onshore and offshore oil and gas fields. We offer opportunities for pioneering studies, new technologies, and innovative development solutions.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related disciplines. An MSc or PhD is desirable; additional training in business, economics, or finance is beneficial.
- 15 years of experience with reputable oil and gas consulting or E&P companies in reserves roles.
- Extensive experience in reserves estimation (deterministic and probabilistic), resource evaluation, classification, and reporting (e.g., PRMS, SEC), classic reservoir engineering, 3D static and dynamic modelling, and enhanced oil recovery or unconventional reservoirs.
- Hands-on experience in reservoir characterisation, petrophysical analysis, fluid characterisation, and well testing.
- Supplemental experience in reservoir engineering, long-term reservoir depletion plans, economic evaluations, and performance measures.
- Experience in large organisations or a wide range of smaller companies.
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting to executive management and large audiences.
- Participation in industry-level reserves presentations and publications, with relevant professional memberships.
- Proven experience collaborating with geoscientists, engineers, economists, etc.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Lead technical assessment for the Reserves Division, liaising with exploration, engineering, marketing, finance, and corporate planning.
- Monitor exploration, delineation, and development drilling activities affecting reserves.
- Select reservoir intervals for testing and plan and interpret results.
- Participate in reservoir studies and quality check simulation results.
- Peer review 3D static and dynamic modelling.
- Understand commerciality assessment (discounted cash flows, NPV, IRR, forecasting prices/capex/opex).
- Develop less experienced staff through professional development programmes.
- Represent the organisation in external technical conferences, symposiums, and forums.
