**Purpose**

The QC Chemist is accountable for daily activities of quality control and HSE&S aspects, formulation maintenance, Assists senior chemist with customer complaint investigations, reduction of SLOB stocks in his/ her area or responsibility. They co-ordinate with the production team / customer service team to ensure timely services. In short, ensures that quality product / service is delivered to the customer.

**Responsibilities**
- Number of sample checks for basic properties
- Identification of out of specification batches and co-ordinate with RD&I for review
- Close follow up of Quality initiatives like wet matching and execution
- Internal customer satisfaction
- Number of complaints related to sample panel shipments and relevant documents
- Interruptions in the workflow due to the nonavailability of materials
- Number of non-conformances in his area of responsibility in internal and external audits
- Reduction in average batch cycle time

**Role Requirements**
- Degree / Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Paint Technology discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Paint industry in the laboratory
- Good team player with interpersonal, organizational skills
- Should be capable of working in flexible working pattern
- Willing to work in shifts
- Able to prioritize work
- Should be able handle assigned tasks independently
- Attention to detail and quality standards
- Quality control tests Know-how; Product Manufacturing Know-how; Product Safety & Regulatory Aspects for metal coatings / Marine, protective coatings.
