As a Landscape Architect, your role is to plan, design, and manage outdoor spaces, creating functional and aesthetically pleasing environments that integrate natural and built elements. You will work closely with clients, engineers, urban planners, and other stakeholders to develop landscape designs that meet project objectives, environmental sustainability goals, and user needs. Your objective is to create outdoor spaces that enhance the quality of life, promote environmental stewardship, and create a harmonious relationship between people and their surroundings.

**Responsibilities**
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their project requirements, goals, and budget. Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information about the existing landscape, site conditions, and user preferences.
- Concept Development: Create design concepts, mood boards, and visual presentations that capture the client's vision and design goals. Incorporate elements of nature, art, sustainability, and functionality to develop innovative and inspiring landscape designs.
- Site Analysis and Planning: Conduct thorough site analysis, considering factors such as topography, soil conditions, climate, vegetation, and existing structures. Develop site plans, including land use, circulation, drainage, and infrastructure integration.
- Landscape Design: Develop detailed landscape designs, including the selection and placement of vegetation, hardscape elements (such as pathways, patios, and decks), water features, lighting, and outdoor furniture. Consider factors such as aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and maintenance requirements.
- Planting Design: Select appropriate plant species, considering their suitability to the climate, soil conditions, and desired aesthetic outcomes. Incorporate principles of biodiversity, native plants, and water-efficient landscaping to promote environmental sustainability.
- Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for the landscape design. Create construction documents, including grading plans, planting plans, irrigation plans, and materials specifications. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Project Management and Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals involved in the implementation of the landscape design. Oversee the construction process to ensure adherence to the design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Environmental Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into the landscape design. Integrate strategies for stormwater management, water conservation, energy efficiency, and use of recycled materials. Consider long-term maintenance and ecological considerations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate the landscape design with the overall site plan. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure a successful project outcome.
- Research and Professional Development: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture. Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge through professional development activities and participation in industry events.

**Requirements**:

- Preferred Secret Clearance but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in irrigation system design, preferably in landscaping or agricultural projects.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation principles, techniques, and components, such as sprinklers, valves, pumps, and controllers.
- Familiarity with hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and irrigation system layout design.
- Understanding of plant water requirements, soil types, and climatic conditions that influence irrigation needs.
- Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, GIS, or irrigation design tools.
- Knowledge of water conservation practices, regulations, and sustainable irrigation design principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address site-specific irrigation challenges.
- Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate project activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
