**Courseware Manager - Naval Officer Training**

**Grade: GG12**

**Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia**

**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Naval Forces ships and train RSNF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their ships and equipment.

The purpose of this job is to ensure all courseware for delivery across the King Fahad Naval Academy (KFNA), Naval Officer Project (NOT) is of the highest standards.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**The post holder is responsible for**:

- Being the focal point of contact for the Design and Development (D&D), developing strong, positive relationships with local RSNF Surveillance, management teams and delivery staff to ensure a truly partnered approach is maintained during the development and deployment of training material.
- Managing the design and development of training material and ensure that any solutions deployed are in compliance with the Company’s Engineering & Assurance Functional Governance Manual.
- Managing a controlled environment to ensure that all engineering and assurance risks associated with meeting Customer contractual training requirements are managed within the timescales, quality standards and budgets set for the NOT Contract.
- Ensuring that all required resources are in place including people, information materiel and toolsets to enable the production of the courseware.
- Ensuring that staff numbers are properly managed, using both permanent and sub-contract labour where necessary.
- Working close with other departments in NOT to ensure that health & safety, Quality and governance processes and procedures are flowed down effectively into the Design and Development team and adhered to.
- Ensuring that there are no breaches of policy that may affect external accreditation or audit failure.
- Ensuring that all training products and deliverables are compliant with ITAR.
- Keeping abreast of training delivery across the whole of BAE Systems in Saudi Arabia to ensure best practice is being shared across the KSA. They will also look externally to ensure best practice is brought into KFNA where practicable.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**

**The post holder must**:

- Demonstrate relevant management experience in a training environment,
- Have experience of managing the development of courseware and instructional media in a training institution,
- have substantial experience as a Project Manager,
- have knowledge and experience of different training delivery methodologies and associated techniques,
- have knowledge of Systems Approach to Training (SAT) methodology,
