Medical Physicist Iii

Provides medical physics services and/or conducts clinical research programs.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Assists with medical physics procedures. These may include quality control checks, treatment planning for cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy and quality assurance of radiation emitting
- devices.

2. Helps with the commissioning and calibration of radiation machines and devices.

3. Participates in the selection of equipment. Liaises with personnel installing equipment to assure proper installation. Assists with acceptance of new equipment.

4. Engages in clinical research. Participates in writing of research papers.

5. Assists senior medical Physicists in assigned research areas and the implementation of medical physics and treatment planning procedures.

6. Direct and instructs technical staff.

7. Participates in Department/Unit specific and Hospital wide quality improvement plan preferred.

8. Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.

9. Follows all KFSH&RC related policies and procedures.

**Education**:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics or related discipline from a recognized institution.

**Experience Required**:
Four (4) years clinical experience in Medical Physics with Master's degree. Eight (8) years clinical experience in Medical Physics with Bachelor's degree.
