Job Role / Responsibilities
- To oversee, manage and lead the project staff in planning, directing and controlling the construction activities, to ensure that the project is completed to meet targets on HSE, program, budget, environment, community and quality and the enhancement of project profitability
- To provide the construction site and the construction team with an effective management and leadership
- To meet contractual requirements and project site targets about different functions, including Safety, Human Resources, Quality, Community, Environment & Sustainability, Design and Subcontractor Management
- To ensure that the construction activities are carried out in compliance with timeline, cost and quality
- To build and maintain a relationship with the relevant client representatives to ensure a positive business relationship
- To provide the Design team with construction input, to ensure constructability and budget requirements are met
- To ensure that the project is properly planned and financed and, in case of over budget, to implement the actions required to keep the project in the budget by respecting quality targets
- To conduct regular site inspections to ensure that the project goals are met
- To motivate and develop all the site personnel
Location
The role will be based in Saudi Arabia.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 20 years of overall experience in the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years as a Construction Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- At least 5 years' experience in dam construction projects is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of construction management principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound understanding of engineering standards, construction methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction laws, regulations, and practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant tools. In-depth knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and tools.
