**Corporate Affairs & Comunications Director Saudi Arabia +**

**Position Purpose**
Following the significant successes achieved to date we be relocating our support functions fully into Saudi Arabia to support our fabulous sales team to continue our ambitious growth plans. We will be creating a new cluster ‘Saudi Arabia +’ out of our current Middle East one, to continue our growth momentum & seize additional opportunities This exciting position requires an agile & commercial Corporate Affairs Director to help us navigate our way through the complexities of dynamic regulations, to ensure we have forward guidance to adapt to & embrace change to ensure continued commercial successes. They will also enable us to focus on ensuring we can secure the optimum entity structure to achieve long-term sustainable growth & unleash our full potential The successful incumbent is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing corporate affairs and communication strategies and programs. These include fiscal, pricing, regulatory and supply chain strategies, maintaining excellent government relations and safeguarding our corporate reputation, and driving the company’s internal and external communications. We firmly believe that Corporate Affairs is front & central to our success and as such we require a can-do, positive-thinking senior colleague to join our new management team on this exciting journey.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Adapt and implement global strategies and corporate positions in the key areas of tobacco taxation, product regulation, fight illicit trade activities, and unfair / uncompetitive practices etc
- Anticipate market regulatory and fiscal change, prioritize, and prepare government submissions, drive advocacy and follow up on outcomes, ensuring coordination with Regional Colleagues, and HQ functions as necessary.
- Develop external relations strategies to strengthen and improve JTI's engagement with Government at all levels. Represent JTI in other relevant stakeholder for, e.g. National Manufacturers Association, chambers of commerce, and manage consultants, as necessary.
- Execute internal communication plans for market and factory management.
- Represent the company in the media, upholding a responsible external image and excellent reputation.
- Implement our corporate Community Investment policy and develop employee engagement activities.
- Coach team, implement agile ways of working, and manage their performance by setting clear objectives, strategies and measurable KPIs.
- Provide specialist advice and political insights to the GM and Market Excom.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- University Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in highly regulated industries and excise taxation is an asset
- Excellent understanding of the regulatory and political environment
- The ability to develop and sustain professional relationships with external parties
- Business acumen and good communication skills
- Excellent command of English is a must
- Hand’s on, feet-on-the-ground, door-knocking & networking individual who will become the face of Saudi’s tobacco industry from a Governmental perspective to shape local policies.
