Help ‘deliver the amazing’ and be part of Jacobs Transportation team by partnering with the High-Speed Line Technical Advisory Services in Middle East to provide comprehensive technical advisory support for the development, implementation, and operation of high-speed rail infrastructure. The project focuses on delivering expert guidance and assistance in all aspects of high-speed rail systems, including planning, design, construction, and maintenance.
As the Project Director with High-Speed Rail, you'll take ownership of overseeing and managing the entire lifecycle of high-speed rail projects. You will be able to use your extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in high-speed rail infrastructure, project management, and industry best practices. You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring project objectives are met within scope, budget, and schedule. You'll need a flair for collaboration and forming robust relationships to ensure successful interfaces with stakeholders to deliver successful high-speed rail projects.
Additional key responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Provide overall leadership and direction to high-speed rail projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. Oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgetary constraints.
- High-Speed Rail Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge and experience in high-speed rail infrastructure, engineering, and operations to provide strategic guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor project expenditures, and implement cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are met. Evaluate and approve project-related expenses, contracts, and change orders.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations. Establish and monitor quality benchmarks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success.
- Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing project team, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and support staff. Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to drive team productivity and foster a positive work environment.
- Contract and Procurement Management: Oversee contract negotiations, procurement processes, and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining compliance with project requirements and legal obligations.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular project status reports, executive briefings, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Ensure effective communication channels are established and maintained throughout the project.
