**Project Overview**:
A Bechtel-led consortium to design and build two rail lines of the Riyadh Metro network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The lines, along with four others, will form the backbone of Riyadh’s new public transportation network.

The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system.

Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

The Lead Electrical Controller reports to the Sr. Lead Electrical Controller and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing the operation and isolation of the equipment or systems for the HV, MV and LV networks. The Lead Electrical Controller manages the:

- Electrical Switch Operators that are responsible to implement the relevant electrical boundary conditions to support WAD permit access in the technical rooms and along the rail corridor.
- MEP Team that are responsible for implementing the relevant LV isolations to support WAD permit access in technical rooms.
**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
The Lead Electrical Controller is accountable to the Sr. Lead Electrical Controller and will ensure compliance with the CCRRB, WAD (Work Authorized Document), LOTO and Power Management Procedure. Specific accountabilities include:

- Interfaces with the Permit to Work (PtW) coordinator and the Route Movement Controller to plan and implement boundary electrical protection conditions.
- Defines the electrical isolation requirements of the 33kV, Traction and Low Voltage (LV) networks;
- Controls and coordinates the implementation process of the Electrical Isolations on the 33kV, Traction and Low Voltage networks,
- Ensures current layout and schematic of the power network is up to date to provide visibility over the actual network configuration.
- Review PtW (Permit to Work) and setting the Boundary Conditions for each permit.
- Coordinates with the MEP, LOTO manager and team to ensure the LV electrical isolation boundary conditions are correctly set.
- Confirms the electrical isolation boundary conditions are correctly set.
- Assists the PtW Team in production and implementation of the necessary notification and documents. Ensure the real-time communication and interface with the Saudi Electrical Company.
**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES**:

- To perform frequent visits of the site in order to assess the risks resulting from the uncompleted works and the ongoing installation activities.
- To make sure all incidents will be covered by a proper Report. To identify the root cause and implement adequate control measures to avoid repeated incidents.
- To ensure the persons involved in the TOT Power Management Team are duly trained on the rules and have a sufficient knowledge of their duties.
- To organise the collection of the available electronic files relevant to the Operations.
- To produce regular statistics relevant to the Operation activities.
