Traffic Planner

**Role Summary**:
As a Traffic Planner, you will plan the routes and schedule the transportation for inbound and outbound shipments. You will be responsible for administrative support to the logistics department’s processes, and you will coordinate across various departments such as, operations, sales, and quality to ensure all customer expectations are met. You will report to the Supervisor, Planning.

**Responsibilities & Requirements**:
The primary objectives for this role will be to plan and process the transport activities. The main duty will be to ensure secure, accurate, timely, and productive shipment process.

General and Task Management
- Generate daily picking list for next day delivery.
- Verify with logistics team to ensure correct delivery orders are picked.
- Manage the day-to-day transport deployment of drivers and dispatching orders efficiently.
- Work closely with Logistics team on goods picking, quality check, and outgoing delivery arrangement.
- Ensure all related documents are ready and data are pushed out to facilitate delivery process.
- Ensure delivery orders are signed off by customer and delivery completed.
- Negotiate rates with carriers to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiency.
- Communicate with courier service provider, order management on traffic arrangement and coordinate job assignments.
- Ensure that all inbound/outbound processes are implemented to agreed standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that vehicles adhere to compliance and inspection requirements.
- Monitor driving licenses and ensure company drivers and agency drivers are compliant and legal to drive.
- Ensure compliance and understanding of current legislations, regulations, and procedures.
- Support with logistics activities including but not limited to; inventory control, shipping/receiving of products and materials, parts picking, packing, and distribution of materials to production department, as needed.
- Perform other duties as necessary in operations.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Good communication skills, interaction at all levels internal and external.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Teams, etc.)
- Solid knowledge and proficiency using Incoterms and customs regulations.
- Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision.
- Geographical knowledge.
- Physically fit.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Team player with a flexible Can-Do attribute.

**Qualifications and Experience Levels**:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 0-2 years relevant experience in Logistics/Transportation ideally in manufacturing environment.
- Experience in transport management system is beneficial.
