**Position Objectives**:
The Cost Controller is responsible for managing the project budgets, monitoring project expenditures, preparing financial forecasts and project reports, and managing the daily cost control activities.
**Job Description & Responsibilities**:
Assist in preparation of Project Budget and Capex plans, coordinate with sections to establish reasonable planned project BOQs, system and equipment costs.
Agree on monthly targets with Project Control Lead and manage against these targets.
Establish a comprehensive cost control process to manage the budget, process invoices, and monitor project expenditures against approved project budgets.
Assist in analysing and verifying project planned costs and vendor prices.
Monitor project spending, track changes in and between element budgets, and update project budget plans accordingly.
Coordinate with the Project management to establish Project Earned Value reports and all project financial reports.
Demonstrate advanced project accounting skills and capabilities.
Provide feedback to Project Management on budget and cost issues, with a particular focus on actual or potential cost overruns.
Lead the invoice and cost control team, assign job tasks, set job priorities, follow up that the work is executed according to the defined processes and procedures, and top the defined time schedules and quality criteria.
Prepare regular and ad-hoc budget and cost control reports and ensure these are submitted on time and to the required quality.
Assist the Standards and specifications team to provide cost-related issues with the new standards and specs
Produce ongoing analysis of budget trends, blocking issues, contractor budget allocation, and CAPEX, and provide detailed reports.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Economics or Engineering.
Minimum 8 years relevant work experience with at least 4 years in a budgeting and/or cost control role.
Detailed knowledge and professional experience in project budgeting, cost management, and project reporting,
Formal training in project management and project control techniques and methodologies (PMI, PRINCE or similar) will be considered an advantage.
Experience and knowledge of large-scale telecommunication project is an advantage
Good presentation and reporting skills backed by proficiency in Power Bi, Advanced Excel PowerPoint, and Word.
**Essential skills**: Teamwork, Communication skills and knowledge transfer capability.
Excellent knowledge of the English and Arabic languages, both written and spoken.
Native Arabic speakers or Saudi nationals based in Saudi Arabia will be preferred.
