**Job Purpose & Context**:
To design and deliver successful marketing campaigns for exhibitions, conferences, awards, and
digital products in line with agreed KPIs.
The role will report to the Group Marketing Director and be an active part of a team of approx. 20 other marketing professionals delivering all of dmg events' Construction, Infrastructure and Coatings events across the MEAA region. The role works closely with the Event Manager and VP - Construction, and will lead an exciting new event in Saudi Arabia, as well as participate in other existing initiatives across the division.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Create and implement an integrated marketing strategy for the construction portfolio (including
exhibitor, conference, and visitor campaigns, as well as special events)
- Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Identify target universe and key segments within target universe. Develop personas, value propositions and messaging for each of the key segments.
- Maintain the marketing budget tracker and adhere to agreed marketing budget.
- Develop and maintain a drop schedule and a content calendar.
- Envision and copywrite marketing materials (in conjunction with Exhibition Director/ Marketing Director if needed) in line with the content calendar and messaging. Coordinate the design and production of all marketing materials required to deliver the events.
- Proficient understanding of data management and proven creative solutions for data enriching and maintenance. Work with internal teams to ensure data governance and data management policies are adhered to.
- Monitor campaign performance, produce relevant and timely reports and recommend changes to campaign execution based on data insights. Develop compelling monthly management progress reports.
- Build and maintain show websites and digital channels with the latest information about the events and industry they serve.
- Identify appropriate media partners and associations and negotiate barter deals to maximize event exposure and elevate the event profile through powerful brand associations.
- Monitor and adjust digital marketing activity based on performance metrics
- Source, appoint and manage external suppliers.
- Support show teams with market research and collaterals needed to pitch and manage strategic partnerships at government and private sector levels.
**Qualifications, Experience, & Skills**:
- Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
- Arabic written and spoken is a strong asset.
- Ability and willingness to travel for business and events
- Experience with the following tools is a plus: Adestra, PowerBI, SalesForce, Google Analytics, social media business manager suites
- Experience in exhibitions marketing is a plus
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in 360 marketing and measurement
- BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field
