**Para Fab Technician**

**JOB PURPOSE**
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements
that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Para Fab Technician inspects, evaluates, repairs, installs maintains, troubleshoots, services etc. Para Fab equipment and assemblies; parachutes, PSP, QRF etc;
Implementing servicing schedules for the maintenance of Para Fab equipment within the Para Fab shop. You will be making technical decisions within own sphere of responsibility and experience as required. Adhering to the appropriate quality standards. You will also coach and help develop less senior staff. Have a thorough knowledge of Aircraft Safety devices and Aircraft operating areas. Be able to provide functional guidance to the SNTTP programs in respect of any engineering issues that may arise. Ensuring the Approved Maintenance Organisation is compliant with the requirements of the M&CA Mandates and Pt145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition with regards to maintaining aircraft, its components and resource SQEP levels. Maintaining good engineering practice and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders in all aspects of the Hawk Para-Fab Shop***
**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Prepare items for calibration within their work area
- Carry out TCTO’s and Special inspections when directed
- Have a thorough knowledge of Aircraft Safety devices and Aircraft operating areas
- Ensure compliance with tool control and the KFAB SAFO program
- Support deployments to other bases within and out of KSA when required and be able to prepare equipment to support these deployments
- Monitor all supply issues affecting the Hawk Para-Fab Shop
- Providing up to date briefings and information to all concerned parties on daily progress and any issues affecting the Hawk Para-Fab Shop***
**Recruitment Specification**
- A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA,
**OR**
Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
**Recruitment**
**_ Essential:_**
- Equipment specific training including initial and refresher training as required by the OEM and agreed with the Directorate of M&CA
- Have extensive proven post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR experience on same type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
- Demonstrate knowledge
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
- Have a thorough knowledge of Aircraft Safety devices and ensure staff compliance of associated processes.
**_Desirable:_**
- Broad Aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
- An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
- Martin Baker certification.
