Receptionist (Ft)

Reports to the Office Manager.

**Job Details**:

- Is responsible for the efficient functioning of the flow of patients through the clinics.
- Schedules appointments for the treatment of animals.
- Receives clients and/or their animals at the time of their arrival and responds to non-medical questions or needs, as is able. Refers to client concerns to
- Office Manager or Veterinarian, as necessary.
- Maintains files of medical records for all registered animals, and provides the file to the Veterinarian at the time of consultation or surgery.
- Initiates invoicing and receives payments.
- Provides relief coverage for other staff members as required.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or the Veterinarians.

**DISTRICT RECEPTIONIST**:

- Coordinates supplies, to be transported to the Clinic by a Veterinarian.
- Advises animal attendants to prepare animals to be transported to and from District Clinics.
- Prepares district office and clinic for receipt of clients during scheduled clinic hours.
- Performs duties as a Receptionist, as listed above.
- Assists Veterinarian as needed and/or as instructed in accordance to standard protocol.
- Maintains inventory records for all pharmaceutical and supply items. Submits a written inventory at the beginning of each month. Initiates orders in a timely manner to the Vet Clinic office. Ensures expired pharmaceutical items are returned to Clinic office for disposal.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or the Veterinarians.

**QUALIFICATIONS**: (Rakah Vet Clinic Receptionist & District Receptionist)
- Experience in general office operations, the handling of money, scheduling and computer operations.
- Ability to work well with the general public in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
