The American International School - Riyadh is seeking a certified Middle School Math Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.

**Qualifications & Criteria**:

- KSA Dependent Status: Holder of valid Saudi Iqama (Residence permit) under husband/wife sponsorship.
- Professional Teaching Certification is required. (Middle School Licensed Educator)
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Minimum of 2-years' Middle School. (Grades 6-8) teaching experience in Mathematics.
- Fluent English language capacity.
- Able to start work August 13, 2023.
- Can commit to AIS-R work hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm. (5:00pm on Tuesdays)

**Reports to: Middle School Principal**

**The Purpose of the AIS-R Teacher**:

- Systematically gathers, analyzes, and utilizes all relevant data to measure and facilitate student academic progress.
- Clearly communicates standards of conduct and expectations for learning.
- Clearly communicates objectives for all instructional activities and outcomes for learning.
- Arranges instructional space and uses a variety of resources to encourage, facilitate and challenge students to learn.
- Supports and implements the AIS-R Mission through classroom instruction and involvement in the school community.
- Assesses student learning with clear criteria that are aligned with standards.
- Communicates with families and reports student progress on a regular basis.

- Provide students with specific and worthy information about their learning because we know that students learn best when given specific and timely feedback.
- Provide opportunities for students to dialogue with peers and adults and self-reflect about their learning because we know that students learn best when they monitor their own growth.
- Differentiate our instruction to meet the individual needs of our students because we know that students learn at different rates and in different ways.
- Scaffold learning because we know students learn best by connecting and building on previous knowledge, skills, and understanding.
- Provide opportunities for students to make decisions and have a voice in their learning because we know that students learn best when given options and are empowered.

**Terms of Employment**:

- Salary will be assigned from the Faculty salary schedule; the contract term will be 190 days.
- Dates of Employment: August 13, 2023 - June 15, 2024.

**Evaluation**:Performance will be evaluated in accordance with school policy by the designated Supervisor.
